"Big Mo," back and better than ever in 1/450 scale.
The U.S.S. Missouri (BB-63) is most famous as the site of Japan's official surrender to the U.S. in 1945. However, that was just one of many major events in the U.S.S. Missouri's long, extraordinary service. This Iowa-class battleship - the last one ever completed by the U.S. - aided the Allies by repelling Japanese forces in the battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa. President Truman later dispatched her to South Korea to intervene in the Korean Conflict. Decommissioned in 1955, the U.S.S. Missouri was reactivated nearly 30 years later. In 1991, she served commendably in the Gulf War, and became a museum ship in 1999.
Did you know?
- The U.S.S. Missouri earned three battle stars for WWII service, five battle stars during the Korean War and three battle stars in the Gulf War.
- The U.S.S. Missouri has hosted Presidents Harry Truman and George H.W. Bush.
- Pearl Harbor, Hawaii is currently the U.S.S. Missouri's home, where she serves as a memorial museum.
Paint and thinners classify as flammable liquid and can only be sent via our specialised contract to Mainland UK as they are dangerous goods. The cost of this is rather high per parcel so we have a minimum paint/thinners order of 6 tins/bottles to allow us to reduce the postage cost to our customers.
The minimum order is 6 tins of paint or bottles of thinners or a combination of both. 1 bottle of thinners counts as 1 tin. The paint can be a combination of any colour and tins within coloursets count as individual tins. If you require any help with this please contact us.
We can send out orders of less than 6 tins/bottles but they incur an extra postage charge. Please contact us if you wish to order less than the minimum.
