Colourcoats Set Royal Navy 1943-1945 Western Approaches
Sovereign Hobbies Colourcoats enamel paint set for Royal Navy Western Approaches schemes 1943-1945. This was used on many small ships including destroyers, corvettes, minesweepers and sloops.
Using the May 1943 onwards B&G series paints which were denoted by B for Blue and G for Grey, followed by a number indicating the colour's Light Reflectance Value, the Western Approaches light blue and light green colours used hitherto were replaced by a single greenish blue of equivalent tone to both previous colours; B55. B55 was used with white in the same manner as earlier Western Approaches schemes and the recommended deck colour became B30.
Features 3 x 14ml tins of enamel paints matched to the originals including:
Decks and other horizontal surfaces - NARN37 - B30
Disruptive pattern on vertical surfaces - NARN40 - B55
Disruptive pattern on vertical surfaces - C03 - Matt White
Please Note - We are unable to post Colourcoats Paint outside of Mainland UK. Please see our "Where to buy" for international orders.
Paint and thinners classify as flammable liquid and can only be sent via our specialised contract to Mainland UK as they are dangerous goods. The cost of this is rather high per parcel so we have a minimum paint/thinners order of 6 tins/bottles to allow us to reduce the postage cost to our customers.
The minimum order is 6 tins of paint or bottles of thinners or a combination of both. 1 bottle of thinners counts as 1 tin. The paint can be a combination of any colour and tins within coloursets count as individual tins. If you require any help with this please contact us.
We can send out orders of less than 6 tins/bottles but they incur an extra postage charge. Please contact us if you wish to order less than the minimum.
